Synopsis

Against the backdrop of the 1600’s Civil War, Edward and his three siblings are tragically orphaned when their father is killed by Parliamentary soldiers on the hunt for Charles I. Fleeing, the children adopt a modest life and begin the fight to save their home, their family and their king, but will their quest tear them apart?

In this musical adaptation for a new generation, The Children of the New Forest is brought to life through breath-taking movement and live on-stage instrumentation in a dark and atmospheric production like no other. This riches-to-rags story of cavaliers and travellers, Kings and Roudheads, is reimagined by Writer/Composers Caroline Wigmore and Jen Green, the creative duo behind The Legend of White Bear Lake and Bachelor Girls.
