What to expect on Audition day
YMT Auditions are for anyone aged 11 to 21 looking to kick-start their career in the performing arts - join the YMT 2018 Company!
You are auditioning to be part of YMT’s 2018 Summer Season where, if successful, you’ll be placed on a two/three-week project to create a brand-new piece of music theatre with a team of theatre professionals. YMT projects are residential - so you'll be living away from home - and take place in July/August across the UK. The selection process is not based on geography, so you may not be placed on the course closest to where you live.
The audition is a group workshop where you’ll be led by a professional director, a musical director and a choreographer.
The session will run through lunchtime, please bring a packed lunch with you, as food will not be provided. The session starts at 11.00, we have set an approximate finish time of 16.00, however, depending on booking numbers this time may vary slightly, and may be slightly shorter or longer. We will contact you nearer the time to confirm the finish time. If you need to leave by 16.00 please let us know and we will ensure you are seen earlier.
Full details of the auditions process will be available on the website in mid-October.
