Synopsis

It will have blood they say. Blood will have blood.

After the success of last year's production at Lyric Theatre Belfast, YMT is showcasing Shakespeare's haunting tale at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

It will have blood, they say. Blood will have blood. Witness urban electronica fused with contemporary choreography to create Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it before. Set in a future dystopia, the digital world has come to a grinding halt in this classic tale of treachery, deceit and ambition. Electrifying new music theatre from a cast of over 40 performers and musicians. ‘A triumph. This stimulating, challenging Macbeth thoroughly merits a visit’. (Belfast Telegraph)

'A triumph' - Belfast Telegraph

'Magnificent is the only word that I can use to do it justice.' - Nerdgeist

Recommended Show - Fringe Review

**** 'The performance is as Macbeth should be – sinister, chilling and above all enthralling.' - A Younger Theatre

**** 'The ensemble work is particularly striking and a strength in this spirited and dynamic production.' - British Theatre Guide

**** 'Youth Music Theatre UK have done something rather remarkable in their new production of Macbeth. They have created a show that is so original that it stands apart from all other productions of Shakespeare’s tragedy, while simultaneously being polished, engaging and dramatic. Other productions often innovate at the expense of quality, but that is not the case here – this performance is a triumph.' - Broadway Baby

**** 'The highly stylised choreography and chorus movement is the most striking feature of this production.' - Musical Theatre Review
